What is whole foods anyways??

Foods that come from nature and have been unprocessed and not tampered with. The foods that give us the nutrients and vitamins we need. The more a food is refined or processed from its original state, the more of those valuable nutrients are lost. When you see processed foods that boast all the great stuff they’ve put in… don’t be fooled. The reason they added in fiber, and micronutrients is because what you are about to eat has been through so much processing that there was nothing left nutritionally! 

Challenge yourself to limit processed foods for yourself and your family. If you must eat something boxed and packaged, read your labels carefully!!! The ingredients are listed in order from highest to lowest content. Choose wisely! Like the photo above, long list, starting with sugar and followed by fancy words and coloring. You’re smarter than that!!
